At ACE Development & Engineering, I worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer within a driven team focused on delivering innovative engineering solutions for a wide range of industrial applications. My role centered on the mechanical design of components and systems, with strong emphasis on manufacturability, product quality, and precise technical execution.
My role and responsibilities
- Designing mechanical components and assemblies based on specifications and functional requirements.
- Developing detailed CAD models and technical drawings in preparation for production.
- Validating designs for manufacturability, tolerance alignment, and material selection in close collaboration with production partners.
- Optimizing existing designs through iterative testing and analysis of functional performance.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including revisions, bills of materials, and design notes.
Collaboration and process-driven design
A key aspect of my work was active collaboration with fellow engineers, production teams, suppliers, and project managers. Early and continuous alignment allowed designs to be evaluated against real-world constraints and potential bottlenecks to be identified in time. This resulted in more efficient development cycles and stronger alignment between design intent and realization.
Added value
In this role, I learned how to translate technical challenges into manufacturable and reliable designs. Working at ACE strengthened my ability to operate in a multidisciplinary environment, document clearly, and develop solutions that work in practice — with attention to detail as well as continuous process improvement.
